Tecnodiscap: The application of technology to improve the quality of life of the disabled and the elderly

Tecnodiscap was created with the aim of contributing solutions through research and technology to improve the quality of life and health of the elderly and disabled, as well as people in situations of risk.

This has led to the creation of the Aragón Centre for Research in Assistive Technology (CAITA), with a collaboration agreement between the Regional Government of Aragón and the University of Zaragoza.

The work of Tecnodiscap is aimed at society in general, taking into account the social and economic sustainability of disability and dependency in terms of technologies to provide support, rehabilitation, re-education and training, and for maintaining health and preventing illnesses.

Tecnodiscap focuses on the development of activities and relations in homes and care centres, schools and training centres, on independence, public services, leisure, employment, and healthcare structures.
